Waajji

Sociological products for curious worlds.

Waajji builds physical brands and network experiments that turn social science into things you can wear, hear, trade, and play.

Studio

Products as social instruments

We design objects, brands, and network tools that make people behave like themselves. Not their best selves — their real selves. Sociology has always had a measurement problem: ask people who they are, and they will perform an answer. So we stopped asking. We built the situations — the trading table, the racetrack, the workshop — and let the behavior arrive on its own. The product is the question. The players are the answer. The data is what they actually did.

What we make

Waajji works where research stops being a paper and becomes something people can touch, play, trade, hear, or use. Our projects move between physical objects, sound, games, learning tools, and network products, drawing from social research, economics, design, and technology. We are interested in what happens after an idea meets real behavior: how people learn when a lesson becomes a decision, how value changes when people trade, how rules shape competition, and how culture travels through objects and media. Each project takes a different form, but the method stays consistent — build the situation, put it into the world, and pay attention to what people actually do.

How we work

Theory you can hold

A hypothesis you can wear, hear, trade, and play is a hypothesis that can fail in public — and that is the only kind worth keeping. We turn questions into products, and products into evidence.

Strangeness on purpose

A familiar shape with a strange rule — a card game that is an exchange, a duck race that is a market — is the fastest way to make people behave like themselves. Familiarity lowers their guard; strangeness raises the stakes.
